The Valutico team is excited to announce a host of new features that are now live on our main valuation platform. Check out the latest upgrades below, and stay tuned for more exciting developments coming in October 2024.
1. Business Forecasting is Now Automatic
¿Cómo?
ValuPlan is Valutico’s revolutionary tool that automates business growth forecasting and plan generation with an innovative benchmarking process, allowing for automatically-generated projections.
¿dónde?
This is a significant extension of our existing Business Plan module. The new scenario options, business plan templates, and automated projections are visible here.
¿Por qué es importante?
The Co-Pilot allows you to choose amongst different automated projections, to seamlessly forecast business performance using a number of different methods. With this, you have an automatically generated set of projections based on benchmarking data and other techniques. The new Co-Pilot also simplifies the data entry process by ensuring that you complete all necessary fields.

2. New AI Tool Supports Your Discount Rates Calculations
¿Cómo?
We’ve upgraded our risk assessment stage with a new AI Co-Pilot that provides suggestions for scoring the business on critical factors, such as competition, management quality, reliance on key customers, and other criteria. These scores then impact the Cost of Equity Premium and Discount to Trading Multiples.
¿dónde?
The Co-Pilot will launch as soon as you land on the Qualitative Assessment section—easy to spot!
¿Por qué es importante?
The AI Co-Pilot automates the process of assessing the risk factors and assigning the ratings as part of the Qualitative Assessment. This feature then provides scores on each measure, acting as a rapid AI-generated baseline for the Cost of Equity Premium and Discount to Trading Multiples that you can refine as needed.

3. New Ways to Manage Your M&A Transactions
¿Cómo?
This enhancement allows you to create and manage custom transactions more flexibly within your valuations. You can now easily reuse transactions across different valuations and take advantage of new options for downloading and uploading transaction data in bulk.
¿dónde?
You’ll find ‘Custom Transaction Management’ in the blue main menu bar on the left-hand side of the platform, just below ‘Marketplace’.
¿Por qué es importante?
This new feature significantly improves your ability to manage and reuse custom transactions, saving you time and effort in your valuation workflow.

4. Rating Analysis
¿Cómo?
Within ValuPlan, there is now a new tab called ‘Rating Analysis,’ where you can view your company’s interest coverage ratio. This ratio is compared to benchmarks for large caps, small caps and emerging markets, and a credit rating is assigned based on this comparison.
¿dónde?
You will find a new tab in the ValuPlan top menu called “Rating Analysis”.
¿Por qué es importante?
This feature enhances your ability to assess and understand your company’s financial health in relation to industry benchmarks. It provides valuable insights into creditworthiness and financial stability, helping you make more informed decisions. Additionally, it assists in evaluating the cost of debt, enabling you to better manage and optimize the company’s financial strategy.

5. Adjusted Net Asset Value (ANAV) Method
¿Cómo?
The platform now supports the highly requested Adjusted Net Asset Value (ANAV) valuation method, our first asset-based approach. This method calculates a company’s worth based on the value of its individual assets, rather than on its ongoing operations or future earnings.
¿dónde?
You can easily find the Adjusted Net Asset Value (ANAV) on the Valuation Overview page. Additionally, there is a tab on the Business Plan labeled ‘Net Asset Value’ where you can make adjustments to the balance sheet.
¿Por qué es importante?
The ANAV method improves your valuation analysis by seamlessly integrating balance sheet data and is now the default valuation method for companies in liquidation.

6. Transactions: New Filters & Indicators
¿Cómo?
We’ve introduced new filters and information for transactions. A highly requested update, it’s now easy to see whether a target company is private or public. Additionally, we have added checkbox filters for company multiples and min/max range filters for these multiples to remove any outliers.
¿dónde?
You can find the private or public company information in a new column in the main table within the transactions screen. For the additional filters, click on “Advanced Search” in the top right. The Advanced Search screen will display the new checkbox and range filters.
¿Por qué es importante?
These filters help you easily identify the most relevant transactions, ensuring a more accurate valuation outcome. By easily removing outliers, you can prevent skewed results and achieve more reliable valuations.
7. Valuation Workflow Improvements
¿Cómo?
We’re reorganizing the valuation workflow to better match your natural process. Instead of starting with peer group selection, you’ll now first analyze the company and build financial forecasts.
¿dónde?
You’ll find this change in the workflow menu on the left-hand side. The Business Plan section now appears before Peer Selection.
¿Por qué es importante?
By starting with a detailed analysis of the company’s financial profile before selecting peers, you’ll achieve more accurate and relevant peer and transaction comparisons. This streamlined workflow aligns with your natural process and enables more targeted and insightful comparisons that reflect the company’s unique financial context.
¿Y ahora qué?
With each new improvement, our platform becomes increasingly powerful and finely tuned to meet all our users’ needs. Stay tuned for more significant updates coming in 2024.
